Grace
On the outside
It looks broken,
Run down,
Ruined.
If you care to look inside,
You would feel the memories
Flooding back to you.
The people you were with,
You would remember
The person you were.
As you look back at it,
You can see how far you’ve come,
How much you’ve changed.
You realize you didn’t come this far
Alone,
And you thank whatever Being
Capable of so much grace and mercy,
For bringing you this far,
Picking up your ruins,
And loving you for who you are
And can become with
His everlasting love.
You were broken,
And He fixed you.
You look back
With tears in your eyes
And gratitude in your heart.
Never forgetting that place
And leave,
Never forgetting that place.
