Eyes like a Hawk, nothing escapes his vision.
His body is as graceful as his eyes.
The slits his eyes narrow like a half closed door.
The sun is a warm heaven, and he lies in its glow.
His body is a long coil that unwinds,
as he sprawls across the floor.

He hears something;
the quiet cries of the steps, also the sound of feet
that step familiarly.
Light clunks to the nearby door,
followed by the jingle of small metals.

His eyes are circles of wonder;
they stares with happiness.
He eagerly stretches out.
He is a wild beast that exhales a quiet yawn.

A man, a man with a cheerful presence,
walks through the door.
As his legs even out to a stand
he makes his way to the being.
His pant’s legs welcome him as he glides across them.

His friend, his family, is all he has.
Friendship is like a world of constant security.
