As I look around this path I used to know
Tears well up in the deep of my eyes
An echo in my mind repeats the words:
“They’ve destroyed it”
A faint whisper of anger and sadness
Is now shouting, shaking me
My cheeks are flushing, my eyes hardening
A sharp pain in my chest
They took away a part of me
