"What do you plead,  guilty or not guilty?"
"Not guilty"
Surely that must of shocked them.
There were witnesses.
There was evidence.
They have a strong case.
And even though my lawyer begged me to take the plea deal
I said no.
I didn't think I was guilty.
Sure I've done things I'm not proud of but this isn't one of those things.
When I held the cool metal In my hand
And my finger grazed the trigger
I have never felt more innocent.
That man deserved to die
I did society a favor.
I'm a hero
But that's not how I'll be remembered.
I'll be the villain.
I am the one that will be forgotten.

I purposly out the killers gender, race, and name so  the reader can imagine them. also i didnt say who the victim was. if they were a rapist or a serial killer would that make the killer less guilty?
