When I looked in the mirror,
I saw a girl.
She was scared,
Running away from something.
Her long blond braids
Trailed behind her.
Her blue eyes shone with fear.

Something chased after,
After the little girl.
I thought,
Stop.
Suddenly,
The figure that was chasing
The small girl,
Stopped and turned to me.
It turned out to be
All of the emotions she tried to hide
From her family,
From her friends,
From the world.

The little girl,
She kept on running.
I reached out,
Out into the mirror,
With a gentle touch,
I grabbed her,
And held her close.
The little girl,
Whom had been
So frightened,
Looked up at me with her
Blue eyes.
She stopped running,
And just needed to be heard.

The little girl,
Held me back.
Somehow,
We were one,

We were alike,
Alike in so many ways,
We kept secrets,
We kept on fighting the physical pain,
