Reflection
Watching genetics trickle from one down to the other.
Wandering in her eyes, bigger than the vast blue sea, all I see is a reflection of me.
Twins you could say, in appearance and personality.
Butting heads like bulls.
Sharing secrets like best friends.
Magical memories never to be forgotten.
The comfort she lays upon me, the overflowing love.
Distinct smells of sweet perfume lingering in the air.
Warm softness of her touch.
Could not be gifted from anyone but herself.
Well educated and exotically beautiful, the Cleopatra of today.
As I grow older, and our days together become shorter, know that my appreciation will never fade but bloom.
To one day hope I can live up to the title of a mother.
Although those shoes will be hard to fill.
