You can play it in the sprouting of spring
Or play it in the foliage of fall
You can hit it with a composite bat
And throw the yellow ball

You can prove to the scouts
How superior you can be
Try out for high school
Trust me, they’ll see

It’s a way of letting out anger
For some a form of joy
It’s the cure to keep me going
And all of us are better than boys

My heart is touched by this game
No matter if I win or lose
This game is my passion
It’s the one I choose
