Typical Fall Morning
Typical early fall morning in the mitten state.
Light breeze carrying cold air.
I can feel each time the wind blows,
Crawling through the tiny holes in my clothes.
Giving me goose bumps each time.
It’s bringing in that fresh morning smell,
Making my nose start to run.
The sun brightening everything in its view,
Forcing the blades of grass, wet with dew to glisten.
Listening to birds chirp their morning hellos.
The rum of cars engines as they putt by.
Looking into the bright blue sky,
You see how the clouds sit just right,
To make it the perfect sunrise.
Clouds peaking from behind the sun,
Their light, light pink tint.
Colors of the morning.
Bright, bright yellow, oranges, blues, greens.
Greens of the grass, bushes, and the trees.
Leaves all around just starting to turn,
Like how a baking cookie slowly goldens.
This is a typical early fall morning in the mitten state.
