Athena's Spear
I fly through the whispering wind wildly
but yet with perfect precision.
The blood drips from my wooden body,
Which is the color of the cold ground below.
I see the aftermath of my holder’s deed
A field that was once lively and green,
Is now a crimson horizon filled
with the sight of death.
She helps men fight so brutally in war
but stands so strongly for peace.
I suppose in order to receive peace
You must fight for it.
They all prayed for her guidance,
and so Zeus’ favorite child guided.
She stood so tall and fierce above them,
with me standing by her brilliant side.
A pure olive tree stood behind us
Holding up with its tangled arms
A large clever eyed owl.
The warriors bowed to her intelligence
And peace and praise filled the scarlet land.
