Unacceptable
My love is unacceptable.
My dad is as confused as he thinks i am.
My dad says black and white can't mix.
He can't grasp the concept of a woman loving another woman.
He tells me i will be disowned from my family.
He says i'm going to hell.
For loving a woman.
For loving a colored man.
He is wrong.
She is a different breed of beautiful.
His eyes shatter my barriers.
She builds me up and makes me laugh.
He taught me what a real man is, unlike my father.
I love him/her.
He doesnt understand her perfection like i do;
that she makes me feel better than anyone else ever could.
Late nights together and the little things;
he is the reason that my heart sings.
She/he is mine, and i am hers/his.
Passion,
romance,
goofy,
kind-hearted,
grace in a backwards form.
A mama's boy in a manly manner.
I knew from the moment i saw them it was true love.

I was inspired to write this piece from the simple fact that many teenage kids these days arent given the freedom to love who they want. I personally relate deeply to this piece.
