Lord, Remind Me
Remind me, Lord
Remind me when she's crying to me and I can't stop it
I can't stop him from bruising her and leaving her broken
As if the marks marring her flesh are a sign or a token
Of fatherly love
Remind me, Lord
Remind me when his twisted legs can barely carry him
Home and he can never run for a bus or a train
Without falling and having someone tease or call him
Names and that's on an every day basis
Remind me, Lord
Remind me when she cuts her wrists so deep her vitals weaken
Her blood shows me what she's hiding without even
Speaking and she's too afraid to have someone
Investigate the case
Remind me, Lord
Remind me when he stops believing You exist
Because of death, so many friends who have been
Taken from this world without explanation and
He's left here alone
Remind me, Lord
Remind me when I feel like You have left us
To die at the top of a mountain or on a roadside
Remind me while we struggle with our grief and woe
Pain and suffering, cuts and blows
Remind me when we're crying in the middle of the night
Remind me when nothing seems to be alright
Remind me when we die in the wilderness lands
That you've still got the whole world in Your hands
