Glass
A calming sensation overwhelms me as I walk down to the lake
The water smooth as glass
The boat moves towards the dock, little ripples follow behind
Frogs ribbiting in the background
Just family and friends
No one else near
Trees lining the ski lake swaying back and forth
The sun falls behind the trees
A mix of orange, yellow, and red cover the sky
Nothing more beautiful
The motor of the boat singing a soothing hum
The first skier jumps into the lake making a splash
Down they go
2,800 feet down the lake
Through the course
They stop at the end
The lake stands still again
