I am from a background of spirituality,
and long relaxing sessions of meditation.

                                                        I am from a moralistic family,
                                                              with values of altruism, individualism,
                                                        and kindness.

I am from a place of joy,
and emotional contentment.

                                                 I am from a place of pain,
                                                 emotional numbness, and
                                                 distress.

I am from an ever-changing world,
where either slowly, or in an instant,
you can become someone else,
finding something entirely new about yourself.

                                                                         I am from a place called Earth,
                                                                         an entity known from the human perspective
                                                                         of cruelty, and its beauty.

I am from a background of connection,
whether it be socially, emotionally, or intellectually
among individuals, and looking into the deep, unwavering
diversity of their eyes.

                                                                                     I am from the same boat,

                         just as everyone else is.
                    We all share unique ideals,
               experiences, and emotions at different
           points in our lives.
      We are all human; we are all the same.
