Inside Out
I came from within
I came from my yawn in the morning
To my snores at night
I came from the dark thoughts
In the back of my mind
Where I come from is my head
My head is where I live
It drives my actions
As well as my attitudes
I come from a place no one else
Could begin to understand
It’s uniquely my own
Where I come from changes everyday
Some days can be scary
There’s thunder, lightning
Other days the sunshine is blinding
But most days are a foggy daze
It’s sometimes impossible to change
Where you come from
What is possible is to look past the fog
Open your eyes to the light
Where you come from may be dark
But you can always let the light in
I came from within
You also come from a place
So deep down that it can be hard to find
But if you let the light in
You can always find your way home
