Soundtrack of my life
Like an artery
they bring a substance
vital to life.
When there’s music in my ears,
it's like time slows down.
People flow around me
like water,
each with their own story.
places they’ve been, places they’ll go.
And none of it matters.
Because all i can hear
is my music.
The soundtrack
of my life.
what will happen?
what will happen
when the world ends
what will happen
when the monotony of daily life
changes
what will happen
if the leaves turn brown
too soon, or too late.
what will happen
if the snow falls
in august, or
if it falls in may?
people never think about
the what-ifs
or the what-could,
all that matters is the did,
the have done.
what will happen
if people decide
to finally analyze
what would happen
if they decided to
take the bus
instead of their car?
what will happen
if someone decided to
exercise,
and get in shape?
these are the things
that people never look into.
What would happen if they did?
a
water
drop let
People pass it by
there are more
important things
just a lonely water bottle
sitting on the ground
it provided someone
a half
moment of bliss.
the life giving liquid
that allowed humanity to thrive.
Thrown on the ground
after it’s destiny was fulfilled
tossed aside
left to rot for one thousand years
people pass it by.
