Remembering
I found a shoe
An old dirty shoe
Only one question
Who did it belong to?
I thought and thought
Until my brain began to rot
And then I remebered
It was mine
I ran and I played
I kicked and I strayed
That was me
Younger me
How short was my hair?
Life just so fair
I would jump and then shout
Let it all out
I yelled and I screamed
What's it to me?
I was fun only then
I've changed up to know
It no longer fits
Yet it's not in a ditch
It's mine to keep
My old memory
