My first basketball rim
I was young with only a ball,
and a dream,
working on my skills alone
dreaming about my future
practicing my shot with only a broken trashcan
“For three!”
for several years
One day my father comes home,
with his trunk half open,
there it was
My first basketball rim
as a boy i was, I was ready to break it in
several hours later it up
now i'm screaming “For three!” on my first basketball rim
