Friday Night Lights
It’s more than just a game,
It’s the immense love for the sport,
It’s the thundering crowd for support.
Each player relying on the other,
Each player bonding like a brother.
Fans praying for the best
Players forced to face the test.
It’s more than just a game,
It’s a battle field for the players
A strategic game for the coordinators.
It’s a family built upon trust,
A symbolic chain that cannot rust.
It’s a community filled with pride,
A deadly forty-eight minutes to decide.
It’s more than just a game.
It’s the memories we make,
That we all can embrace.
It’s the legacy that surpasses us
It’s the family that defines us
It’s the Friday Night that made us.

I am currently a senior at Petal High School. I am a member of the football team and I wrote this poem to express my love for Friday Night Football games. I hope readers can enjoy my piece of work and get a sense of my love for this sport.
