She was the Sun

She was the sun.
She brighten up my day,
And filled me with warmth.
She melted away my ice,
And made flowers grow in my soul,
And set my heart on fire.
But she was not always kind.
She dried up my lakes,
And made my flowers wither away.
She was the sun.
I needed her to survive,
But I always got burnt.
