I am a battlefield...
Filled with good and evil.
My sadness is covered with armor, and my confidence fires from the gun.
Adversity struck the front line, leaving soldiers to parish.
But hope fills the battleground, guiding the soldiers to freedom.
Freedom led by the ALL KNOWING and ALL POWERFUL!

One of our family friends committed suicide about a year ago. He was in college, so he was very young. It was very unexpected to everyone. My family and I have become very close to each other. When we had an opportunity to write an extended metaphor poem in class this situation inspired me. This poem is for him.
