On a Bench Poem
Standing alone in a field with crisp, green grass is a tree with bright, red leaves and pristine bark. The uncut grass mixed with the blood red leaves and the sunlight of the setting sun creates a scene so great that an artist would create ten paintings of this spectacular area. The whistling leaves were calling me over, its shade offering me a seat. Not wanting to disturb the scene, I carefully walk over and sit. The shade is refreshing on the hot September day.I gaze upon the land, seeing trees of all shapes and sizes and colors, but none as great as the one I am sitting under.
Artifact Poem
It is more than a hat that I wore on my head,
Alex Hernadi
4th Hour 9232015
It is more than a worn out hat with a logo on it, It is a hat that unleashes a flood of memories, It is a hat that makes me feel a sense of pride, It is a hat from my first job at McDonald’s. It unleashes memories from that year, It triggers the greatness that I felt. From the summer when I first started, From the days working after school, From the days on the weekend, From the day I received my promotion, From the familiar faces in the drivethru. It is a hat that is a part of me. It is a hat that lets me relive the past.
I am dedicated.
Litany Poem
Whether it is schoolwork or working at my job, I stay focused and do my best. If it means I spend a lot of time on a project or coming back home exhausted, I am always proud of my work. I am dedicated.
In order to keep my possessions clean and organized, I think of the most effective way to do the task. If it requires time to create a system for organization or spending extra time to clean unthought of places, I am always proud of my work.
