National Anthem
When you sing something amazing
You know it.
It can happen in any song
It can happen any time
It can happen any day
This happened to me
I was singing something simple,
The National Anthem.
And guess where it happened, at
My
Swim
Meet
It doesn’t have to be on a big stage
You don’t have to be famous
You can just be yourself
After I sang
The crowd went crazy
My face lit up
Smiling as wide as the ocean!
I could feel it in me
As well as
Heard it
It made me smile the whole meet!
I never thought
I was capable to do something like that
I never thought I could sing it so clear
Halfway through I said
“I got this!”
My throat was crystal clear
I went for it.
It’s the best feeling to have sang a song
Knowing you did a good job.
I will always remember that night
I will never forget it.
