College Again
Half the day lost, staring at this window.
I wanted to know just one true thing,
but I’m with a thought, now you are here,
the thought floats out of my head.
The sound of your voice is all I need.
you it then gently fades.
You’re gone now, all that is left is a
window and a chair, it’s raining now
how ironic. You watch him walk away,
he’ll be back, but when? How long?
The question lingers, the new thought
in your head, trapped you’ve been with him
through thick and thin and now he’s off.
In a blink the leaves have fallen and he’s back,
His smile brings joy.
It’s the little things about
when he comes home.
it just never feels right without him.
Half the day found, staring at our shadows mimic our moments together.
