Given instructions, orders,
A dominant figure imposing their views,
ideals on you.
All of us forced onto a line,
and forced to follow it..
A straight line we must never get off.
Always told it’s okay to glance between
but to never turn corners, cross, cut in, go-over, or out
of those lines…
But a line of thought is rarely straight.
Twisting, turning, and bending at will.
Maybe if the line of our lives was similar,
to that of a line of thought.
Going outside of those lines wouldn’t be so bad.
