I come from originality

I come from the motor city
I come from the most homegrown
place you can think of
Beautiful architecture and great spirits
But those paper thin walls hide a
lot more than people see
I come from a different breed of people
People with a different mentality

I come from dirt
I come from nothing
The way we grew up we were not
supposed to make it out here
I come from a different society
with different standards
I come from simple minded
living life
sometimes struggling
