Life is an amazing journey
it’s full of new things
every year is new
with a new place that’s unfamiliar

the idea of new things in life
is new is always better..
at least that’s what I’ve heard
old ways never seem to stick

Every year feels the same though
in the sense that new things
eventually become old ones,
and then it’s time to start a new

But some things stay the same
My family, my passions, my dreams.
The same goes for empty spaces
in my life that I desperately look to fill

I feel that we all have an emptiness
but life is never written in stone
because there is a story of your life
and it’s you that holds the pen.
