I come from a semi-small town
A town that’s a suburb of a city known to many,
As the motor city
A city that was at one point a bombing city that is now decaying
A city that has grown on the car industry
At that time my grandparents both worked in the car factories
The same factories that now lay abandoned on the side of the highway
From an ever changing world

I come from generations of polish, French and Hungarian peoples
My fathers from Poland and my mom’s from France and hungry
I’m not from one place but many you can see this in my skintone

I come from an average family
I have my mom, dad and brother
We live in a bungalow style house
On an average street
In an average town

I come from a religious family
We are catholic

I come from America
I’m the most American person you have ever met
A country still young in the eyes of the world
We may be young but we are powerful

I come from the new generation
A generation of painters, lawyers and athletes
My generation is known as a technicologiacal one
We grew up with the world in our hands
Knowledge at the press of a button
Friends that we have only met online but never in person

I come from a semi-small town
In the middle of an changing world.
