Combat Boots
We insert our troops,
Knowing some will lose their souls,
But it's a job, so they hold their tongues.
Today is the day to be shipped overseas,
Laced up and ready to go.
The platform snipers aim at the political enemy.
In the air, maximum destruction to civilian villages,
Gains numbers in collateral damage.
But sometimes, people are too tough on each other.
When their lifespans are over,
They're put back in their boxes,
And sent back to the manufacturer.
