A pen name,
hiding my name
from being linked to all that
I have ever written.
A fake identity,
protecting my thoughts,
masking my feelings,
concealing my pleasures,
from those I know.
A fictitious persona,
advertising my inner thoughts
as its own,
posting my shielded thoughts
for all to view.
A conflicted soul,
that sits behind the pen,
writing things such as these
behind a name
that is not
her own.
