Parasailing
Sky was clear and blue with many distant clouds.
Adrenaline inside me was almost to the brim.
As my friend and I waited and
waited.
The boat drifted farther,
and farther
away from the sandy shore.
It was time to go parasailing.
¨Come over so I can strap you in.¨
Barreling,
sprinting,
dashing
towards the worker.
I was going parasailing.
The nerves hit like I just got punched.
Arms were shaking,
head was spinning.
There was no stopping now.
I was going parasailing.
The straps were locked,
the wind kicked in,
and the ocean as clear as glass.
The wind carried us farther,
farther,
and farther away from the boat.
Attached only by a single strand of rope.
I was parasailing.
Flying through the sky like a bird in the night.
The air around us was pure.
The little fishes swimming around below.
No one could see us,
no one could hear us.
I was parasailing.
Then we began to fly lower,
closer to the blue ocean surface.
Splash!
We got dunked into the water,
screaming and yelling.
I was parasailing.
I see the worker reel us in,
I didn't want this to end.
This was a once in a lifetime experience,
because I just went parasailing.

What inspired me to write this was that this experience helped me get over the fear of doing it. It was an amazing experience and I hope I will get to be able to do it again soon.
