Before You Leave

Bring along the books
we had bought together
so I can no longer re-read
the memories the pages held
Leave no clothes
in the dirty laundry bin
so I can smell no scent
of our not so decent romance
Take away the shoes
from your side of the rack
so I remember no more
the paths we used to take
Before you leave,
pack along
the remnants of our love
so I remember none
and you remember most.
