I wish I had the ability to read minds-
or more specifically,
yours.
I want to know
what plays in that mind of yours
when I am in front of you
Are you glad to be with me
or are you crying silent tears
for despair of having my company?
Do I make you happy
or do I instead,
illustrate images of sadness?
I wish I could read your mind-
to know exactly where
I stand in the heart of yours.
