There is one thing I want in this life.

The one thing that means you're feeling
The one thing that means you're human
The one thing that makes everything worthwhile
The one thing that brings excruciating pain
The one thing that brings heart wrenching devastation
The one thing that causes backstabbing betrayal.
But it's the one thing that brings happiness in every waking hour
The one that gives laughter its taste
The one thing that gives you hope in something better
The one thing that gives you faith in something real
All of these things are consumed by one word
And that one word is what I want to consume all of me
Love.
