He was worried. No, terrified
Terrified that this may be the last time
So he held her
Clung to her tight as if she were his lifeline
And he stared into her eyes
Claming that they were what kept him sane
His lips promised her own
That he would cherish the love she awakened in him
He lived in the beauty of her
Not knowing
If he'd ever live again
