Remember when it meant everything?
Remember when you thought it was the clothes you wear?
Remember when you had to look your best everyday?
Are you happy with what you see in the mirror now?
Remember when you thought it was the friends you had?
Do you miss the ones that you left behind?
Remember when you thought it was how much money your parents had?
Remember when you had to have the nicest car or the biggest house?
Do you see how tirelessly your parents work to give these things to you?
Remember when you had to go to the biggest parties?
Do you ever remember what you did at those parties the next day?
Remember when you tried the drugs
Is that when you felt the approval?
Did the drugs get you there?
Are you happy with what you’ve turned into?
Do you feel that society has ripped enough of you away
just so that you can feel popular?
Do you miss who you use to see in that mirror?
When is enough enough?
Is it when you look in the mirror and can’t recognize yourself anymore?
or
Is it when you don’t like who you’ve become?
