Endless War
What do you blurt when your feelings are hurt so much that words mean nothing?
What do you do when the monster in you is angry, ready for hunting?
When the pain is so deep that no one can see the fire burning within you.
How do you express this thing in you chest thats dying, ready to kill you?
When someone so mad can make you so sad that the tears flow fast as a river.
When the love you once had gets old and goes bad and the cold makes you sick and you shiver.
What do you do yell when no one you tell could possibly understand?
What do you say when the vultures won’t stray and instead carry you by your hand?
How can you cry when you’re buried in lies that they told so many times?
How can you fall when you’ve built up a wall that you can’t walk through or climb?
How do you silence when all ‘round is violence like war that never shall die?
How do you scream when they loosen the seams and you can’t help but wonder ‘why’?
How do you think when you can’t even blink from the awe of horror you’re in?
How do you know which way this will go, if you can’t tame the monster within?
How do you, when do you, what do you do when it’s over, all of it gone.
Do you whisper and say “I’m hiding away.” or do you, simply, move on?
