Uprising
Although we are going through bad times like the depression
And we sink into pot holes in the street which are oh so deep
We are feeling this way to show expressions
I love my city even though when in a uprise
Baltimore runs through my blood
This city gives me strength even though we are getting some much hate
The riots are sweeping through the streets like a flood
Now everybody will remember Maryland as a state
I stand in these streets looking at all the souls that are dead
Miles of destruction and fire blazing
Hopefully there are brighter days ahead
I now see the devotion of my city
We stand here hand in hand
We will stand together even while sinking in the sand

This was a inspiration to me when the Baltimore riots happened I sat down and wrote this poem.
