They're a covering because I am not yet bold
To show my deepest secrets, to uncover my flaws
I am not confident in this is who I am
Quite reluctant to answer any questions with an
Answer that will shine a light on my past
Afraid of being judged, not realizing I shouldn't
Care who chooses to judge because they have
Flaws as well as everyone in this diverse
Multicultural world, but they keep me secure
And I feel safe so for now, every morning, I'm still
Pulling down my long sleeves
