Whispering against the wind,
Gazing out in wonder,
Breathing along your nerves,
Drinking in the sites,
Sniffing in the fragrances,
Senses tingling,
Scales itching,
Fire seeping through you,
Wrapping wings,
You look up,
Into those storming gray eyes,
Nostrils flaring,
Mouth gaping,
Fire wraps you,
You scream,
Thinking you’re ashes,
Stopping,
And realizing that you aren’t
Embracing the flames,
Letting them heal you,
