I can feel it growing stronger
The beat making an ear-splitting sound
Blood flowing through my body
The pace quickening

Eyes scanning for his figure
Ears listening attentively for vocalization
Mouth mentally drooling
Heart beating louder

My body heating up from his presence
Cherry tint rushing to my cheeks
Skin becoming warmer
He was the reason

I felt the flips in my stomach
The realization of butterflies on the inside
Hear the pumping in my chest
The pulse ringing in my ears

He’s growing closer
Thump! Thump! Thump!
Beat picking up speed
The rhythm beating on the inside

Nose catching that familiar scent
He was finally here
Skin scorching from his fingertips
Hairs standing up from his breathe

His touch so delicate like a
Rose petal against my skin
Corners of my mouth turning up
Cheeks growing warmer and brighter

Turning instantly catching a glimpse
Breath consumed in my body
Words stuck in my throat
Heart beating out of my chest

`His eyes burning into mine
Lips gently departing
Arms hanging loosely by his side
Ears burning brighter by the second

The hand abruptly reaching out
Catching his eyes roam over me
His palm groping my cheek
Our bodies moving closer together

Looking upon each other
Lips slightly more parted than before
Eyes boring into the soul
Noticing a little sparkle of euphoria

Eyes closing as the bodies move closer
Lips finally connected
Igniting a fire within
As we share a greeting of love
