Sleep and Summer
She used the sky to wipe her eyes of sleep and August
In a haze she climbed the stairs to September
Looking blindly at the clouds above she tripped into October
which led her to stumble apon November
She looked up to the stars that guided her into the ice of December
slipping and sliding into January
Landing her headfirst in February
the wind blows her hair harshly turning her towards March
Pushing her gently onto the green grass of April
that sent her rolling down the hill to May
She pushed her way to June
And ran, jumped, and skipped with July
The sky covered her in a blanket of August
A conforting place to be held
But She could hear September calling
so she wiped her eyes of her summertime sadness,
pulled August of her gently.
and marched on.
