Gone Forever
He was alluring,
He was mysterious.
And his laugh was like music to my ears.
There was not a day that went by
without me
admiring his smile,
his voice,
his confidence,
his fingers as they graced the violin.
I was powerless. Under a spell.
So enchanting, yet so insane.
He had my heart in his hand and my head on a platter.
Then I watched him sail: far, far away.
I tried to open my mouth, my lips frozen and my soul in pain.
Finally, he was gone and my heart went with him.
He squeezed tighter and tighter; now I am nothing but a shell of a person.
And he is nothing but a whisper of a name.
