Endings
I still remember
how you walked towards me
with your blue shirt on,
and how I walked right pass you
and locked the door.
I didn't know why I cried
but tears did flow down
as I heard you call my name over the door.
Yes, all the years we spent together,
laughing, crying, and maybe hurting each other,
do matter.
They matter to me so much
that sometimes I wish
that you were never in my life.
So much, that I wish that
I could live those moments
over and over again.
But I will still leave.
I will leave because
the summer nights,
all the snowy days,
and the Valentine's Day wishes
have become my life.
I will leave
although I know
that you will never be able to fill
the empty space when I leave.
I can leave
because I know you will still keep me beside you
and wait for me to come home.
But I still hate endings.
