The sorrows of the midnight moon,
Called out to me in my place of resting.
The cries of Selene, left me broken,
withering within.
Her sharp and painful words never faded.
They lay staring silently at the gleaming moon,
watching and waiting.
Her cries were silenced by the crows calling.
Calling her, as I once was, to her place of resting.
I watched as she walked away, abandoning all,
I closed my eyes and let the moon slither out of my grasp.

This poem was originally written last year however over the year I have made small adjustments to further its meaning. This poem talks about the goddess of the moon, Selene.
