Summer
Summer is strawberries,
Bright red, small and sweet,
Picked while I
Enjoy the heat.
Summer is blueberries,
Cool, wild, and petite;
I climb mountains to find them,
Despite weary feet.
Summer is blackberries,
A ripe thorny treat.
I pick them with my brother;
Together we eat.
Blackberries, blueberries, strawberries:
Yummy summer memories.

Newly freed from the shackles of standardized testing and delighting in the sweet strawberries, magnificent sky, and soothing summer warmth, I attempted to capture my pleasant berry-picking memories. It's just a care-free tribute to the joy of delicious vacations.
