Death In a breath
Cigarette burning with no flame.
A trade with life and change.
Time burns away but the cigarette stays aflame.
Ash stacks up like a pile of regrets.
But this nicotine has life already set.
It's control is almost abuse because you are trapped in a burning pursuit.
In the same breath you share your attributes but you are not willing to face the truth. This cigarette stole your youth. The exhaled smoke blocks you from the pain and what you are putting at stake. Though it is there to rely on, I don't want to be died on. It helps cope with stress but it is hurting you with every breath. The one who you thought could help you breath is slowly burying you six feet deep.
