“Don’t take my advice. Or anyone’s advice. Trust yourself. For good or for bad, happy or unhappy, it’s your life, and what you do with it has always been entirely up to you.”

- Nicholas Sparks, The Best of Me

We all act like nothing is wrong. We are told to show that we are stronger than we actually are in hopes to become that strong. But it's all just covered, and our raw feelings are never shown. How does hiding everything make it better? It's always in your head but you feel like you shouldn't talk about. Oh don't show them you care. So you both are miserable but will never tell each other because your waiting for the other person to make the first move. Everyone has wars inside their heads or things they are dealing with that is eating them alive. But we hide it.

I think being a teenager in this day of age is very differnet than what it use to be. Most of us feel the weight upon our shoulders but society has told us we cannot show struggle. For struggle is weakness. So, we never really open up about it, making the pain eat away at you.
