Prayer
A trade of sentience for ignorance.
Awakening of Life, but also Death.
A question answered, as to who I am.
An Ape, a Man, a spec of carbon dust
Drifting to find myself. A Man, I know.
Brief the time I have to seek and find.
Let there be light and brightness shown. I'm told.
Brightness to show all except the unknown.
Let me know who I am. A man? God please?
Silence does persist. Perhaps I am deaf.
Darkness remains, and alone I am left.
