It’s hard
To think
To write
To remember you
I can see your smile
I can hear your laugh
I can feel your tears
The one’s I caused
The one’s I promised to stop
I’m sorry
I wish I could fix them now
I wish I could wipe them from your rosy cheeks
And kiss your soft lips
And make sure you were doing alright
But you’re gone
I only have the letters
The one’s you wrote for me
The one’s that still tear at my heart
I try to write back
I try so hard
But
It’s hard
To think
To write
To remember you
