The Nice Guy
We walked by the shore,
Sand in between my toes,
The Boardwalk,
Late night "woah"s,
The smell of his cologne, now imprinted on my shirt,
Knowing bits and pieces, but deeply hiding dirt.
The Flashback occurs, the words I wanna say, yet to be heard.
He handed me a flower, rested his hand upon my face. He told me that I'm beautiful, my smile started to fade.
He looked into my eyes over the lake while it glisten, I looked down, I said Just Listen.
